Isn't it just gorgeous?

On our morning walk this morning I brought the camera to capture some of the beauty around us. I actually really LOVE the country look and feel to the place we are living right now...and the beauty of this earth...minus the garbage.
It is so sad to me that some people can be so lazy and selfish and careless. And that applies to so many other subjects but, Is it really that hard to just put trash in a trash can? As I was taking pictures I kept noticing all the trash and it was really getting to me. It always bothers me so I thought, "hey I should take pictures of how much trash is on this road." All of the pictures I took shows about 20% (probably less) of the trash on the side of the road, on our walk that consisted of only 2 roads. After about the tenth pic I decided I had enough evidence and plus I figured I wanted to be home before the evening since it seemed if I tried to get a pic of all the trash I might be there all day.
Something interesting to me about all the trash is how most of it is beer cans/cartons and cigarette cartons. So it must be that if you smoke or drink you can lose the ability to know how to find a trash can? Or those lovely traits I mentioned above just become even more dominant? Which I guess in a sense leads to the loss of ability to find a trash can...
I don't know.
It just sure warms my heart to see the gratitude and respect for this land we've been given.

I know what you mean.. we went up for a picnic and the first site we stopped at was covered with trash. then the second had some too! You brought it with you.. how hard is it to take it back?

Man, that makes me so sad! I don't understand why people can't just throw away their trash. When I went to Australia for the Summer last year, we picked up trash on the beach. It was EVERYWHERE. It makes me sad to think that even though we picked it all up, it will still happen again.. :(

One day a week during my walk, I would carry a couple trash bags and a pair of gloves and pick it up. I think people in the country think that no one will notice, it is sad and frustrating!
