Maryland

Well, we have been here in Maryland for a week now. I keep finding myself thinking about preparing or saving things for the plane ride home, then realize, there isn't one! It's hard for me to get that into my head. I think it won't feel real until we have a home or at least some of our stuff.
Malias is starting to adjust to all the changes I think. I can't wait for his crib to get here. I think that will help even more. I think he likes having playmates. He laughs at Abby all the time. If only we could get him to stop pulling her hair now. . .
He was pretty sick for a few days but seems about all better now other than a bit of a cough.

Kenny starts work next week and then some more fun begins. Then we can start house hunting, clothes buying (maternity for me ;) ), and Doctor visits! Yay!

The snow started 2 days after we got here and pretty much hasn't stopped. The news says it's making history. Lenae was telling me they usually only get a couple inches a winter.
How nice that we got here just in time to see history in the making. . .ha ha
Everything gets canceled when there is snow so there hasn't been work or school for anyone all week and they got to go home early last week.
No one is supposed to leave there home if they can help it.
The roads are a mess because of the large amount of snow of course but also because no one quite knows how to get it off the roads efficiently.

On the news today they said a lady gave birth to her baby in the car because they got stuck on the way to the hospital. Crazy.

Well today there was a blizzard outside for most of the day and the power went out for a while. So since we were all stuck together with nothin much to do, we pulled out some games and played for a while. It was pretty fun.

Malias got himself all "ready" to go outside and play. he he.
Too bad he didn't get to go.

Kenny and Amber playing a game.

Lenae and Abby playing a game.

We all played Monopoly. Credit card version.
(until the kiddos lost interest)

Outside the front door window during the blizzard.

Can you see the car?

How about from this very slightly different angle?

Here is a hint: It's Kenny's mustang.

Still no?

Well, here is the second picture again with the top of the car outlined in Red. The Blue is the top of the snow.

You can see the antenna sticking up near the tree on the right.

I will try to get some better pics of how deep the snow is, but I wasn't about to go out there today. I don't have any boots or snow gear whatsoever. I would borrow Lenae's but I have ginormous feet. I cant even find my size in stores most of the time. . .hence the part of the reason I don't have boots. It stinks.

Crazyness! I always get excited to get snowed in, there is just something about it. We have had to plow out of 9 foot snow drifts before (about 2 1/2 yrs ago) The good news is that is doesn't stay forever. I bet Lenae is loving having some family close! I don't know if they have a CAL ranch in Maryland, but that is where I got my heavy duty snow black generic boots. (for man or woman). Good luck with everything! So sad we didn't connect for a familiy picture :( Life happens.
