Malias' preschool went to a Pumpkin Patch for a fall field trip and Efton and I got to go along. We had a little picnic lunch when we arrived and then got to go on a very bumpy hay ride out to a field and choose a pumpkin. The field was pretty picked over and there was a lot of rotten ones, but we all managed to find a nice one to bring home. The poor little siblings (Efton included) were having a rough time walking through the vines and long grass. They kept getting tripped!
They were a little afraid of the hay ride at first because we were pulled by a huge tractor and every time he'd push the gas it about made us topple over.
But, it did make for this sweet (unprompted) scene..
I forgot to take photos while looking for the pumpkins...
Proud of their new little pumpkins!
As you can tell from their very rosey cheeks...it was a much warmer day than we had anticipated! It got very warm! But we had a fun time!
