-Malias at 4 so far has already been better that 2 and 3. He had it in his head (little to my knowledge) that 4 year olds could do things like, go to preschool, Sunday school, and swimming lessons by themselves. Previously he had struggled most days with separation anxiety and would scream/cry and cling to us. Now he almost just walks in with barley a little hesitation. It was like magic!!

-I love that he says "Resto-naut"(resaurant) "Broo-k"(broke)

-He is getting better at playing with Efton. It helps that Efton is getting better at playing...but still. They only fight about 80% of the day now! lol. It used to be about 99%.

-He firmly believes if he WANTS something. He should have it. All day every day we have conversations like this:
M-"Mom, I want {Ice cream}."
Me- "Yeah? That does sound yummy! But we don't have any right now and you need to eat your lunch in a few minutes."
Malias- " (starts whining/whimpering) But I WANT some!!"
Me- " I understand you WANT some, but that doesn't mean you can have some."
Malias- " But I WANT SOME!"
Me- "Malias, I heard you. I KNOW that you WANT it. We don't get everything we want."
Malias- " (whining more) But I WANT IT!!"

That about when I stop talking to him because he doesn't stop. We do that little convo dance at least 10 times a day...I swear he doesn't know how to exist without asking for SOMETHING some days...

-He can be so sweet and thoughtful of course. He just is definitely stubborn and strong willed too.

But like I said, 4 has been better so far in small ways, and I am excited to see what this year brings.

We love you Lias!!
